Haughton-Mars Project Apollo Fellowship Program
The HMP Apollo Fellowship Program was created on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, and aims to prepare the next generation of planetary explorers, scientists, and engineers, for humanity’s return to the Moon and first journeys to Mars.
The HMP Apollo Fellowship Program engages academically outstanding students and recent graduates in field research in planetary science and exploration at the HMP site on Devon Island, High Arctic.

The LOI should describe the candidate's research interests, relevant experiences, outstanding accomplishments, challenges overcome, and why an opportunity to participate at HMP would be important for the candidate's personal and/or professional development.

Eligibility
All considerations or criteria listed below must be met by the successful candidate by the time of the HMP field deployment start.

Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

Education: Must have successfully completed at least 3 years of college/university, i.e., must have completed Junior year or a higher level of education.

Health and Safety: Must be able to participate safely in a multi-week Arctic field deployment to a remote, isolated, and extreme location with minimal infrastructure and resources, and significant exposure to wilderness. Candidates with disabilities are welcome to apply and encouraged to contact us to discuss whether their specific needs can be safely accommodated at HMP.

Nationality: Must be in legal status in the USA or Canada, and be able to participate in scientific research.

Security: Must successfully pass a possible security background check.
